I thoroughly enjoyed this textbook. I know that seems weird, but it was a very easy read that contained a solid overview of immunology. It's effectiveness will depend heavily on the level of knowledge needed in your course, but if it is a basic overview you are looking for -- this is the textbook for you. It is easy to follow and I would highly recommend it for a vet student who is taking a basic immunology course, a vet looking to brush up on their immunology, or a lay person looking for a good overview of the subject. It is worth noting that while this is a veterinary immunology textbook, it will carry over to humans as well...if you're into that kind of thing.
